CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE TO GET BOOST FROM LONGTIME FRIEND
The leading Republican candidate for South Carolina’s third Congressional district will get a boost from longtime friend Mike Huckabee later this month.
State Rep. Rex Rice, who is running for the Upstate seat being vacated by Congressman Gresham Barrett, announced on Tuesday that the former GOP presidential candidate will headline a campaign luncheon for him on Feb. 18 at the Carolina First Center in Greenville.
“It is an honor to have my good friend Mike Huckabee make a special trip to South Carolina to support my run for Congress,” said Rice. “I just hope we can take back Congress, stop deficit spending, and protect the American Dream for future generations.”
In a statement, Huckabee called Rice “the kind of solid leader we need in Congress today.”
Huckabee, who served as governor of Arkansas from 1996-2007, carried the third district during the 2008 Republican presidential preference primary. He is widely rumored to be considering another run for president and some polls show him beating President Barack Obama in a hypothetical 2012 matchup.
The trip will be Huckabee’s first to the Palmetto State since November when he stopped in Greenville and Spartanburg as part of a book tour.

Nothing like one redneck Retarded Republican helping another!
Interesting that the fund raiser won’t be in the third district.
I asked somone in the campaign the same question Andrew and I understand that he is only flying in for 2 hours and Greenville is the only place they could work it out.
I guess that makes sense. The Greenville general aviation airport is across the street from this convention center, so he can walk off the plane, do the meet and greet and walk right back onto the plane.
I don’t care Rep or Dem just sign a legal Document stating how you will vote for the people and abide by that. We have dealt with political trash for years and years. You recycle that political trash or you throw it out. What is the big deal? Wiggle room is killing this country. We need FIRM leaders. Problem is we have no leaders. The best you could possible say is America problems, they are working on it. Well what about the stuck gas pedal? Toyota is fixing that and staying open late to do it. The best the Political trash can do is say we are working on it? Outrageous! For one I can not wait anymore. I Julian S. Harrison will fix the problem in Washington! Can I get a little help here? goooh.com
