A TIME TO GIVE THANKS, REMEMBER HOLIDAY’S ORIGINS

As Americans take time today to gather with friends and family to give thanks, I want to express my gratitude to the thousands of individuals who visit The Palmetto Scoop every day and keep this the best place for news and political commentary in South Carolina.

I’m also thankful for the fact that I get to live in the greatest state in greatest country in the world. And I’m even more thankful for the men and women who give of themselves to keep it that way.

For most people, Thanksgiving is about turkey, football, the Macy’s parade and countless other traditions.

And most of those wonderful traditions are represented in the video above — in fact, the video itself has now become a TPS tradition. It’s an accurate recreation of the very first Thanksgiving, exactly as it happened.
