COMMISSION RELEASES 17-PAGE COMPLAINT AGAINST GOVERNOR
A panel that has been investigating Mark Sanford said Monday that they had found 37 instances in which the disgraced governor broke state law.
The South Carolina Ethics Commission released a 17-page complaint to support allegations that Sanford used state aircraft for personal travel, violated state requirements by using high-priced airfare, and did not report the use of private aircraft; all stemming from the governor’s five day disappearance in June and his admission of an affair with a woman in Argentina.
All of the charges against the governor are for use of a public office for personal financial benefit.
The commission’s legal brief lists 18 counts involving Sanford’s receipt of upgraded business class tickets, nine counts for campaign reimbursements totaling less than $3,000, and eight counts for misusing state aircraft.
State Attorney General Henry McMaster has been provided a copy of the commission’s investigative report and must decide whether or not to pursue criminal charges.
A South Carolina House Judiciary subcommittee will meet Tuesday to begin hearings on an impeachment resolution that seeks to remove Sanford from office.

When our enemies are given “any” fodder against us they will magnify, contort, imply and report to such an extent the information is unrecognizable by the accused. Their own lies and abuses would make one believe though they placiated the accusations magnamiously.
If this were the common man he would be in prison by now, Sanfraud is a crook and should be in jail period!!
ye want a bunch o` crooks? look in congress. Sanford doesn`t hold a candle to them
OK, I have not read the list yet, but the first few were all minor things. I would imagine the same would show up in almost ANY public figure’s record over that many years. His personal life is just that. Personal.
His cost saving and trying to keep the state’s budget balanced should be commended. At least we have a governor who realizes you cannot spend money we do not have. Now we need the Fed. to figure that out..
