UNFORTUNATE PHOTO WITH EVEN MORE UNFORTUNATE HEADLINE APPEARS ON SCHOOL’S WEBSITE
There’s something weird going on in the world of women’s college sports. It could be that fans are losing interest or that the NCAA is trying to increase attendance, but there’s been a recent push to raise the profile of certain “neglected” sports.
First, it was the University of New Mexico’s Elizabeth Lambert fusing some mixed martial arts into women’s soccer.
Then Wednesday, Clemson’s female rowing team made national headlines for the unfortunate photo (above) that appeared on the school’s website.
As the popular sports website Deadspin noted, they’re “about to become famous for all the wrong reasons.”
Worse yet, the photo appeared with the headline “Clemson rowing team finishes strong at head of Hooch.”
Yikes.
“And that’s…start again. And there’s…no. Sigh. These poor girls. Nice win at the Hooch, though!” wrote Deadspin.
The photo has since been removed from the school’s website.
I could go on here, but I’m going to be honest… I really don’t care at all about this “story.” I just wanted to write about it before South Carolina’s usual purveyor of this type of stuff. And I did. High five for me!
Anyway, hit it Fannypack…

I don’t see what’s wrong with this photo?
What part of “Camel Toe” dont you understand? lol. (To person above)
Dear Jay (”11/11/09 at 4:00 pm”):
Any point that’s lurking in the story headed “Clemson rowing team finds another way to win” whooshes over my head too.
Says Caity (”11/11/09 at 6:29 pm”) to, I assume, Jay’s post of “11/11/09 at 4:00 pm”:

Dear Caity, if you don’t have one then you must learn to do without it.
