SCHOOL SWAPS TRADEMARK GARNET FOR BORING GRAY

The University of South Carolina Thursday unveiled a brand new uniform design for their men’s basketball team. And the school now for it’s garnet and black is, well… sans garnet.

The team will wear three kits during the 2009-10 season — a home outfit that is all white, an away outfit that is all black and an alternate outfit that is all gray.

The home jerseys say “Gamecocks” across the chest while the road and alternate jerseys say “South Carolina.”

And to call the new uniforms drab and unexciting would be a major understatement. Hell, even the players in the picture above look bored wearing them.

Hopefully it won’t be an indication of the season to come.
