3 NIGHT BALLET KICKS OFF THURSDAY AT KOGER CENTER
The Columbia City Ballet is gearing up for one of its largest performances of the season — Dracula: Ballet With a Bite.
The must-see show begins a three night only run Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Koger Center on Greene Street.
Described by Dance Magazine as an “extravaganza that guarantees [the] audience a good time,” ballet enthusiasts and novices alike are excited for the 16th production of William Starrett’s cult hit and audience favorite.
The State newspaper noted that recent vampire shows like “True Blood” and movies like “Twilight” have created even more of a buzz for “Dracula.”
“Now people have a different image,” Starrett said. “They’re expecting a younger, attractive vampire – and not so many capes.”
Now, I don’t know a damn thing about ballet, but I’ve been told that this show is actually really good… even for the ballet neophytes like myself.
If you’re interested in going to “Dracula,” the shows run at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and tickets cost between $11 and $46. You can purchase tickets thorough the Koger Center by clicking here.
As for the all important question of what to wear? An official at the Koger Center said the dress is generally business casual — “khakis and a blazer for the guys, a nice skirt for the ladies.”

If you think that sucks, wait until you see ol’ Roland in the graveyard.
Jeff, I’d rather not.
