STATE’S TOP EDUCRAT WANTS TO BE STATE’S TOP EXECUCRAT
The man who is responsible for furthering the destruction of public education in South Carolina says he now wants to serve as the state’s top executive.
Speaking to WIS-TV in Columbia Monday night, State Schools Superintendent Jim Rex announced that he is running for governor in the Democrat primary next June.
“I hear a lot of people talk about the need for a two-party system of balance in Washington. It makes sense to have some balance in Washington,” Rex said. “I think it makes just as much sense to have balance in Columbia. People are basically fed up with politicians in general.”
Rex forgot to note that part of the reason people are tired of some politicians is that those politicians are miserable failures who oversee the expansion of horrific “dropout factories.”
The top educrat announced earlier this month that he would not seek re-election, clearing the field for a new schools chief.
He joins a Democrat primary field that includes State Sens. Vincent Sheheen and Robert Ford, Columbia lobbyist Dwight Drake, and Charleston attorney Mullins McLeod.
