YELLOW JACKETS DEFEAT TIGERS 30-27 IN ATLANTA

Donning hideous all-purple uniforms, the Clemson Tigers headed to Atlanta Thursday for a game with No. 15 Georgia Tech.

Early on, it looked as if Georgia Tech was going to run away with the game. The Yellow Jackets went up 24-0 early.

But Clemson fought back and scored 24 unanswered points before taking the lead in the 4th quarter.

It wasn’t meant to be for the Tigers though. Georgia Tech tied the game at 27 a piece with a field goal late in the game.

Then, with 57 seconds remaining, Yellow Jacket kicker Scott Blair kicked a 36 yard field goal to put Georgia Tech up for good and give them a 30-27 win.

Clemson fell to 1-1 on the season while Georgia Tech remained undefeated. The Tigers return home for a noon game next Saturday against Boston College.
