ADJUTANT GENERAL CANDIDATE TO GIVE AWAY AK-47
An Upstate man is quite literally “firing up” his campaign for South Carolina Adjutant General by holding a “machine gun social” later this month. And attendees can even win an AK-47.
Dean Allen said Friday that the Sept. 26 fundraiser “is a go” and his campaign will give away a semi-automatic AK-47 after the event.
The AK-47 will be given away because South Carolina’s archaic gambling laws forbid people from holding a raffle. Although, in this case, that might be a good thing.
“This event is all about celebrating our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms,” Allen said. “We are celebrating these rights in the hopes the liberals in this country never get the chance to take our Second Amendment rights away from us.”
But not everyone thinks the raffle is such a good idea.
“Giving away an AK-47 at a campaign rally is a bit much,” said one South Carolina political strategist. “I can’t think of a better way to ’shoot down’ a campaign than give away a Kalashnikov to a nut job.”
Allen said anyone wanting to win the AK-47 must be a resident of South Carolina and meet all the legal requirements necessary to own a weapon.
Allen is a decorated Korean and Vietnam war veteran. In May, he led a number of conservative groups that took Congressman Gresham Barrett to task for abusing franking privileges to spend a large amount of public money on a gubernatorial campaign mail piece.

One South Carolina political strategist has it all wrong, I vote my guns and so do thousands of others. Run Dean Allen Run.
When the Republican fool starts giving away a M-1 Abrams Battle Tank. I will be the first to use it against the Republicans should they seize control of Congress again!
This nut job will be lucky to get above 30% in the GOP primary.
I appreciated the fact that a Democrat has openly admitted there is a war between Democrats and Republicans. Now all we have to do is draw up the war plans. Republicans will choose the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and Federalist Paper #28, the Democrats will have to rely on the failed plans of Socialism and Communism. After all they were the first to seek gun registration and then gun confiscation. Anyone know where I can get an M-1 Abrams Battle Tank?
Just the thing to replace the elephant as the GOP symbol!
Anyone know where I can get an M-1 Abrams Battle Tank?* Loyal Tea Bagger Republican
Yes! You can buy a used Abrams from the Haliburton Corporation at a discount since you are a fool Tea Bag Military Industrial -Complex Republican who really believes that George Bush the younger was a great American Hero during his 8 years of Imperial Rule that broke this nation and it’s Constitution laws………that gave us Obama who is nothing but Bush 2 on sterios………
The election of our Adjutant General has nothing to do with Bush. Bush is history and you got what you asked for. It sounds like you are not too happy with the hope and change of your new President. Who is the fool? Thank God for the Constitution assuring us of our rights because you obviously would not. While I am happy that you are expressing your 1st amendment right of free speech I will also enjoy my 2nd amendment right and fire off as many rounds in the machine gun as I can. I would even pay for a clip of ammo for you just because I am a nice person; even conservatives have a heart. You should try it sometime, not only will it relieve some of your pent up tension, it may even put some lead in your pencil. Now, let’s celebrate our 2nd amendment right and have some fun. By the Way, calling people names is a sure sign that they have no merit to their argument, and I didn’t vote for Bush, but I bet I know who you voted for. Keep hoping for change……….
Glad to see that a non-Tea Bag, non- Military Industrial -Complex Democrat believes that Obama is nothing but Bush 2 on steroids. There is hope after all (seriously Bush now Obama. Maybe we should give our constitution to the Iraqis. After all we aren’t using it anymore). The machine gun social is a great idea. Gives those loyal Tea Bagger Republicans something to do between Tea Parties as they wait until 2010 for a good house cleaning and raises money to boot. To bad liberals can’t use the idea. To dangerous to put a gun in the hands of their supporters as they might realize that blue steel does come in handy for self-defense.
I traveled from North Carolina for the opportunity to shoot a real machine gun. I took my 30 year old son also. I fired 20 rounds through the AK-47, 20 rounds through the M04 (fully automatic M-16) abd 50 rounds through the “Tommy” gun. My son also fired those guns and added 50 rounds through the MP5, that’s what our Special Forces use. We thoroughly enjoyed putting all those holes in the Osama Bin Laden targets.
As we did our firing we noticed the steady line of people who were also enjoying this event. There were many little ladies and some obviously grandparent age folks (like me) stepping up to the firing line and letting the lead fly. Safety was the top priority and everybody sure seemed to be having a good time.
My son and I also had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Dean Allen and were impressed with what he has in store for the office of Adjutant General. This “machine gun social” was a unique opportunity to bring out people who normally would have stayed home on such a rainy day. My son and I will not be able to vote for Mr. Allen but we will certainly made some additional donations to his campaign,
