BROOKS KEYS RUNS ALONGSIDE, BETWEEN BIKERS, NO ONE INJURED
A fan sporting Clemson University colors and the school’s trademark orange and white tiger paw flag earned himself a few brief seconds of national exposure when he ran alongside and between bikers during a recent stage of the Tour de France.
A video of the incident from the Versus Network, which was posted on YouTube Thursday, identifies the fan is Brooks Keys from Anderson.
Keys is shown emerging from a crowd on a winding, bendy hill in the French Alps, clapping his hands, cheering and running to keep up with riders.
At one point, Keys — apparently demonstrating the forethought of the average Clemson fan — dangerously runs between a pair of bikers to the other side of the narrow road. Fortunately, no one was injured and the race was undisturbed.
Sadly, however, experts predict this will likely be the only fame Keys ever earns during his lifetime.
You are obviously ignorant to the TdeF. I have watched it my entire life, been there, am a Cat 3 road racer myself, and an avid Clemson fan.
I can tell you that it is normal for fans to run along riders on the Cat 1 and HC climbs. Just youtube Alp d’huez to see my point.
Your negative spin shows a gross ignorance on this subject. It is as ignorant as some blogger or wanna be sports reporter saying “Clemson fans stormed the field after that win.” We always run on the field after a win, its TRADITION, and tradition is what makes us more special than the school you went to.

As a former Tiger Road Runner, I know what that young Tiger was trying to do. He simply wanted the 3 dudes on their cycles to crashed into each other and they become Road Kill
