TOMPKINS WEB FIRM ALLEGEDLY LEAKED SENSITIVE EMAILS TO BLOGGER

A political consulting firm infamous for dirty tricks and seedy activities may have hacked the account of a former client to help a current client, according to a local tabloid blog.

Bill Folks of the FITSNews site wrote Thursday that “multiple sources familiar with the matter” said the firm of lobbyist Warren Tompkins leaked sensitive information from the email account of State Rep. Nikki Haley (R-Lexington) to a blogger that is allegedly on their payroll.

Tompkins’ web firm Under the Power Lines created Haley’s State House website, but abruptly pulled the plug on it mere moments after she announced her gubernatorial bid in May.

And it is from the website’s email account, Folks said, that Tompkins and company were able to supply blogger Wes Wolfe information that led to “multiple articles about Haley’s impending gubernatorial bid, articles which included detailed information about Haley’s various staffing moves as well as her timetable for entering the race.”

The Tompkins team, which is running Congressman Gresham Barrett’s campaign for governor, denied the charges.

But their track record — which includes destroying the Republican Party — shows an undeniable pattern for such antics.

Among their recent “greatest hits,” team Tompkins launched a website called Phoney Fred” to not-so-anonymously attack their presidential primary opponent Fred Thompson. They were working for GOP candidate Mitt Romney at the time.

Then, of course, there’s this, this, and this.

Your primary source is Will Folks and his source is “multiple sources familiar with the matter” so this thing is definitely for real.

If it’s true, that’s pretty sleazy.

Gresham Barrett is mixed up with Mark Sanford’s FAMILY CALLED C STREET.

DO NOT SUPPORT EVIL. LOOK FOR REAL HUMAN BEINGS that treat other human beings with respect.

Barrett doesn’t respect himself much less others.

This is great! Maybe GB should have got you guys on the payroll but I’m inclined to believe he’s not a member of the KKK like your boss-man; he’s just not a bigot like you guys. I don’t think your constant attacks are working to well either Adam, GB is out raising McNugget 2 to 1. I’m thinking it’s time for a new game plan at RQ and Associates…

What great journalism you provide here Adam. “Barrett team may have…”

That’s like me saying “Fogle may have an obsession with ruining Barrett’s campaign”

The difference? You’ve provided enough evidence in your anti-Barrett posts to prove that my statement is true.

You have no real proof that anything you wrote above is true, other than your disdain for the Congressman, and your unnamed sources.

    Please stop embarassing yourself.

Oh yea, and by all means…let’s believe Bill Folks. The same man that told me one time that “It isn’t what Mark Sanford has done in his first months in office…it’s about what he has kept from happening.”

    Spin, spin, spin.

Looks like you made them a little nervous judging by the anonymous comments they’re putting on FITS (and here.)
