MURDERER BLAMED FOR 4 DEATHS IN 6 DAYS
Police in Gaffney are looking for a serial killer that is blamed for four deaths in last six days.
Cherokee County authorities said the victims were shot to death within 10 miles of each other since last week.
The shocking crime spree has forced terrified residents to cancel Independence Day plans and hunker down in their homes as police search for the perpetrator.
The latest victim, according to County Coroner Dennis Fowler, was 48-year-old Stephen Tyler, who was killed while closing his Gaffney furniture store Thursday. His 15-year-old daughter was badly injured in the attack.
Sheriff Bill Blanton told the Associated Press Friday that there was evidence linking the latest homicide to the shooting deaths of an 83-year-old mother and her daughter on Wednesday and a 63-year-old peach farmer on Saturday.
Officials have not released any more information on the serial killer.

As of right now this is not considered a serial killer but rather a spree killer. A spree killer kills a number of people over a short duration (days)rather than with a cooling off period of weeks, months and sometimes years like a serial killer does.
