Adam….what a hack job! I’ll add this site to my list of “Trash Sites”. Why is it that so many people in SC are opposed to Mark Sanford? Could it be jealousy? This Jake Knotts guy and your Lt. You can not possibly believe that Sanford was hiking, naked or otherwise. The only person that probably knew why he was gone was his wife. But notice that her only quote sounds pretty crazy and cold. Trouble at home? Maybe. Hiking alone? Probably not. Leaving the state with no chain of command? Yes, and that is what will get him in the most trouble. He has been demonstrating inappropriate behaviors for all this time, but the right wing kept making excuses for him, and making it seem that he was on the right path. The path now is rocky and he needs to step down and finally give the state the opportunity to grow and get the help we all need. Shame on the Gov. And shame on anyone who believes he was just clearing his head. More to this story, wait and see.

Nice to see a blogger with some balls. You caveated your story adequately and simply put 2 and 2 together. It does make for fun speculation.

Whether or not the Governor of South Carolina was hiking nude (some might say cruising) or not, his behavior is bizarre. Is this the kind of family values candidate the Republicans are considering? A guy who abandons his wife and family without a word for five days, especially on father’s day?

Maybe the Grand Old Party can run a Sanford/Ensign ticket? In order to get the urban vote, promise either Larry Craig or Mark Foley for some major cabinet post.

Some might thinking I am kidding here. Well, after Sarah “White Trash” Palin, anything is possible.

Folks i think the naked hiking this was in jest.

But, this type of story will not help Stanford in his presidential campaign, surely Sanford’s “instability” and eccentricity will be highlighted. It’s just weird, Father’s Day, you’re wife not knowing, just disappearing and oh yeah, you’re the chief executive of South Carolina!
