The story behind the story is how the MSM have jumped on and followed the new media on this as you say “rumor”. Other blogs brag about it we, you do not. If we can help bring the truth to the surface and help via that so be it.

Fact remains, no one is doing anything for our seniors right now except the Office on Aging and Senior Shield. We think those involved need to agree to disagree and move on with this very important body of work.

I had checked into this as I thought the idea was useful but I already am required to have current background / drug checks for companies I work for. the idea is good te implementation is a money scam. Couple hundred bucks to get on a list and website. Ok normal Background screening is 60 bucks… what does it cost to put a name on a website say 30$ a year round it up to a cool hundred bucks and then that ain’t enough profit so lets add salesmen and make it $400. dont say anyone did anything wrong but whered the money go except into a deep pit.

“Crap sandwich” – I was just reporting a very credible rumor circulating around Columbia. And notice that I didn’t fully condemn Senior Shield because no one has fully proven that anything wrong has been done. There are, however, serious concerns and allegations of misdeeds.

The untold story here is that frank Adams is the man that pushed this scandal on Jim Miles…and now Jim has to go, but frank the 30 year state government verteran stays, and stays and stays.

Being good is always attacked. Condoning waste and lies is always rewarded with a long career in government.

Adam we luv, we respect ya, most the time regarding posts but you know that is one big piece O’S**t post… Just report truth, we know you love Henry Mac and we do to but, Gov. Andre Bauer is the only one doing anything for seniors in this State of South Carolina, period!

scguy123 is right. Just ask anyone who worked under Loftis. He is irrational and yes, he is a tool. Sent off like a hero from the LG’s office, then shows up (at probably an obscene salary) elsewhere in state government.

As for Miles, who in their right mind would believe that the former Secretary of State — who oversaw filings for charities, LLCs, corps, etc — and former litigator could make an “error” by filing the paperwork the wrong way? It is not even the same paperwork, for one thing. To say Jim Miles needs to go is overstating the obvious. Jim Miles shouldn’t have been there to start with.

What does this say about Andre’s choice of staffers? Well, again, that would be overstating the obvious.

Miles should get the heck outta here, fast. Maybe Andre can drive.
