MAIL FIRM SCREWS UP MAIL PIECE… AGAIN

I guess my dear friend Wesley “The Jackhammer” Donehue has been so focused on talking about “winning races” lately that he literally lost track of time when it came to, umm… winning races.

A mail piece sent to State House District 30 voters over the weekend by Donehue’s “On the Mark” direct mail firm told voters to “vote Tuesday in the March 11th special election for Republican Scott Ramsey.”

The problem? Tuesday is March 10.

This isn’t the first time that Donehue and company have screwed up a major mail piece. During the State Senate District 10 general election last fall, the Republican Caucus led by Donehue sent an entire multi-thousand-dollar mail piece to Florence… halfway across the state from the district.

Republican Dee Compton lost that race by only a few hundred votes. And Ramsey better hope he doesn’t suffer the same fate if his voters look at “March 11″ and not “Tuesday.”

Is Scott Ramsey kin to George Ramsey? I bet he is. I can just see George working hard for his cousin Scott’s campaign. He was probably sitting at a card table getting this mailer ready with his boss Warren Tompkins. Moistening the stamps for it by rubbing them through the sweat on Warren’s big old bald head. Then, licking them just one more time for good measure. Hoping to get a little bit closer to Warren. Who wins. Races. With Wes.

If Earl Capps was chairman, none of this would be happening. You would all rock together in perfect harmony.
