DCCC CREATES FORM LETTER FOR SANFORD, STEELE APOLOGIZES TO TALK SHOW HOST
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee doesn’t do very many things well, but occasionally, they do make me laugh. More often than not, I’m laughing at them, but today I was laughing with them.
That’s because they unleashed a funny little “Republican Apology Machine” for folks like Gov. Mark Sanford and Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele to “say sorry” to conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Why on earth would they need to do that?
For Sanford it’s because he essentially called Limbaugh “an idiot” for hoping President Barack Obama’s socialist policies fail. For Steele, it’s because he said the same Limbaugh statement was “incendiary” and “ugly.”
As South Carolina GOP Chairman Katon Dawson pointed out yesterday, “there are 13.5 million reasons” not to mess with Limbaugh — referring to the number of listeners who tune into his show each day. And both Sanford and Steele backed off their statements and caved to Limbaugh’s power.
Now you too can do the same using the DCCC’s form letter. Although, I wouldn’t give them your real information or you’ll be getting non-stop emails and letters about how fun it will be raise taxes to pay for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Air Force jet.
I was one of the first to sign El Rushbo’s reverse petition to the Democratic busybodies trying to shut him up.
They were inundated with more reverse petitions than petitions.
