The annual Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) went on as planned despite the host not being present. Theron had gone down with COVID-19, and Aisha Tyler had to step in for her as MC.
Despite Theron’s absence, the party went as planned and everyone had a wonderful time. Among those who showed up for the event were Paris Jackson, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez. Other “Fast and Furious” acts were also on the ground for the event.
The CTAOP celebrates Charlize Theron’s philanthropy as well as her contributions to the acting space. Since its inception, it has continued to attract key names in the entertainment industry and from elsewhere.
The success of the year’s event wasn’t lost on CTAOP, which took to its official Instagram channel to appreciate partners and others who made the event the great success that it was. It especially expressed gratitude to those that contributed to its gift bags.
The CTAOP event comes amid the controversy that followed Charlize Theron’s statement that she would fxxk up anybody that comes for drag queens. Those words earned her condemnation from a section of social media. Someone even took up the challenge and asked Theron to come for her.
