MORE THAN 2,000 GATHER TO PROTEST OBAMA SPENDING PLAN
All over the country yesterday, thousands of Americans turned out for dozens of local “Tea Parties” to protest President Obama’s massive spending programs.
In Greenville, more than 2,000 protesters gathered on the banks of the Reedy River to make their voices heard. That, I’m told, was the largest turnout of any Tea Party in the country.
The event, which was organized by the Upstate Young Republicans, drew folks from all over the state as well as Georgia and North Carolina.
The event was so successful, that a number of groups are already considering holding another in Columbia in the next week or two.

Yawn. I’ll say it again, where were these people over the past 8 years? “Massive spending” is only a problem when your 401k is in the gutter I suppose.

I am a writer, and have written on te subject of left wing blindness. As we on the right, and their is a very good reason we are called right wingers, because we are right, anyway, we speak from the heart, and usually what we see that is wrong with America, we will tend to speak out. Lefties, well, they all have one agenda and that is to follow no matter how wrong it is. They want to be on the winning team even is it means losing, but oh, they hate that don’t they.
The tea party was great and we spoke our minds, all of us. For Obama to crush it off is only his way of saying that people don’t count. No matter how many stand and unite, Obama has only one view, his way or the highway.
i will attend both rallys next week and be assured that ACORN members will try and start fights for this is the only way Obama’s team can play the game.

It’s so interesting how intelligent people thing they are, but are so ignorant on who they supported. Many people fail to realize we had a democratic congress in office most of Bush’s term. The democrats blocked and vetoed most of the bills that came through congress. Many people don’t realize that Obama has spent more money in the first two months of office than every president since George Washington to George Bush has spent combined.
Printing and handing out money does not stimulate the economy. People are not spending money, and with what little money they have, they are paying down credit card bills.
The inaguration speaks for itself when Obama and his handlers purposely omitted some key words during his swearing in. Obama was swore in again the next day, without the fanfare, and without his hand on the Bible.

Joe, I think the information you have is amazing. I have been totally mislead. I was under the impression the Republicans took control of the House and Senate during the Clinton Administration and controlled it until the last two years of Bush’s second term. How could I have been so wrong?
I also was under the mistaken belief that in the last two years of the Bush term that Democrats did not have the 2/3rds majority necessary to override a Bush Veto, or even enough votes to overcome a Republican filibuster. Now I find out that they had total control for most of the Bush Presidency. This is truly world news.
Also, watching the inauguration, I truly believed it was Chief Justice Roberts who messed up the swearing in. How could I have been so wrong.
But you left me hanging. Exactly how much has Obama spent since the Monarchy was established. Since it was Bush who spent the TARP money.
Bush spent a few billion at the end of his term, Obama spent a few trillion. Its all good but in two weeks, something big is going to happen. We were watching eight years filled with empty protests from the left from the comfort of our own homes and yet now we are being forced out of those homes and should sit on our hands while Obama ruins the country.
