MATTHEWS QUIETLY MOCKS JINDAL DURING GOP PRESIDENTIAL RESPONSE
I didn’t watch President Obama’s non-State of the Union State of the Union address last night because I pretty much knew what he was going to say.
Stop me if I’m wrong, but I’m guessing it went something like, “hope and change, I’m going to take all your money and give it irresponsible people, hope and change, then I’m going to take your unborn children’s money, hope and change, then I’m going to take your unborn grandchildren’s money, hope and change.”
Naturally, the cadre at MSNBC thought that rhetoric was so good that they didn’t want to hear anyone else speak — they just wanted to bask in the hopey, changy goodness. So when Gov. Bobby Jindal came on to give the Republican response, anchor Chris Matthews
“Oh, God,” Matthews quietly whispered in a very sarcastic tone as Jindal approached the podium at the governor’s mansion in Louisiana.
Apparently, Matthews believed that his microphone was off or that he couldn’t be heard. But, as usual, he was wrong. What are the odds co-host Keith Olbermann names Matthews tonight’s “Worst person in the World“?

You’re right. Matthews should have at least waited to say, “Oh, God,” thirty seconds into the speech like everyone else in America did. This guy made Sarah Palin look bright and Mark Sanford look eloquent.
Jindal was AWFUL. His speech began with a bunch of irrelevant feel good, personal fluff and then pivoted to the same old tired, stale “government is not the solution” slop that Republicans have been ladling out for 30 years. The GOP now seems genetically incapable of developing a new thought or offering something — anything — other than obstinance, objection, and obstruct. .
If Jindal is the vanguard of Republican leadership, the Democrats won’t have much to worry about for quite some time.
“His speech began with a bunch of irrelevant feel good, personal fluff…..”
Hilarious! That’s exactly what Obama’s speeches on the campaign trail sounded like. “Hope….change…..we can….” What a load of crapola.
“The GOP now seems genetically incapable of developing a new thought or offering something — anything — other than obstinance, objection, and obstruct. . ”
And that’s any different from what the Dumocrats did for the last 8 years…how…?
New 2009 Democrat ideas:
SPEND!
SPEND!
SPEND MORE!
TAX THE RICH!
SCREW THE MILITARY!
“This guy made Sarah Palin look bright and Mark Sanford look eloquent.”
What did he make Joe Biden look like?
Screw the Military??? Let’s see Obama is proposing increased spending on Veteran Health Care Benefits, increased spending on Veteran Education Benefits, inhanced Veteran Pensions and getting the souldiers out of the way of the bullets and bombs in Iraq.
Bush and Company, put the souldiers into Iraq with insufficient armor, insufficient support, and bad intellengence, did not let them come home when their cotract was up, provided crappy health care when they got back, and fought increases in Veterans Benefits and enlisted pay because of the cost; all while he was cutting taxes for the most wealthy Americans. All and all a war without sacrifice. At home anyway.
