Sanford crying for Obama

GOVERNOR: I SAT THERE WITH TEARS IN MY EYES DURING VICTORY SPEECH

It’s no secret that Gov. Mark Sanford wasn’t a very big supporter of the Republican nominee for president last year, Sen. John McCain.

In fact, it was widely rumored that he secretly had a crush on Barack Obama, even before the president was his party’s nominee. And an interview yesterday with The Politico did anything but dispel that rumor.

“I sat there on the sofa of our house, with tears coming down my eyes, sitting there with my four boys, watching him when he gave that speech in Grant Park,” Sanford said.

Yes, that’s right, Sanford told a national news publication that he was so overjoyed at the election of a socialist Democrat who is turning our country into the “People’s Republic of America” that he openly cried. No wonder he caved and decided to take the billions of taxpayer dollars sent down from Obama.

The only thing about his little Obama tear-fest that doesn’t quite add up, though, is that Sanford spoke at the Hilton in Columbia on election night. So either he hauled ass back to governor’s mansion in order to catch the speech, or he made up the entire story — either of which is pretty odd.

Weren’t we ALL moved by that speech?!?

Didn’t we ALL have hope? For 2.7 months–until The Great O set about stomping out our benefit of the doubt.

Allah TV! Spending “money” pulled out of thin air! Bringing back the “Fairness Doctrine!” What’s next?

I also never cry. But I saw Cheney pushed out of the White House in his Dr. Srangelove wheel chair and a Fox News Report showing W getting on a Plane to Crawford, it was such an emotional moment.
