I DID THREE THINGS THIS WEEKEND I SWORE I WOULD NEVER DO
This weekend was pretty significant in my life, which means it was important for you as well. It was significant because I did three things I never thought I would do… ever.
First, I bought a brand new MacBook. Yes, I now own a Macintosh.
And the first few hours with it were awesome, until it crashed on me this morning and I had to return it for a new one. So after wasting the entire day updating my second new MacBook in as many days, I’m battling my preconceived notions about Apple products that I worked so hard to bury. I’ll let you know how it works out.
The second thing I did this weekend that I swore I would never do was put that hideous new license tag on my car. I know I could have gotten one of the hundreds of alternatives, but all the time I’m going to have to waste repairing my MacBook means I am short time to waste in line at the DMV.
And the last unexpected thing I did this weekend was read the Diary of a Mad Gay Dude, someone who goes by the pseudonym Waldo Lydecker. He apparently fancies himself as some kind of homosexual rights crusader and I totally wish him the best in that. The irony, though, is that he seeks “tolerance” by making fun of other groups — most notably, “my people,” a la calling me “Hoveround.” For his sake, I hope the rest of the “gay community” realizes that morons like this set their cause back a few hundred years.

Look, I understand and feel your pain and “humiliation”. I too swore I would never own a Mac. I now swear I will never own anything other than a Mac!
You will find the the feeling of not worrying about the latest virus attack liberating. I know I have, after my last 2 PC’s were brought town by malware.
Enjoy.

Adam,
You do a good job and I appreciate your efforts. Thanks, and good luck with that Mac thing.

Looks like you’ve been taken to task… yet again.

That Waldo idiot doesn’t even live in South Carolina. He’s been posting from Asheville, NC for the last six months.

I suppose that is an interesting way to think about it. I never supposed supposed I would see you say this, however, after all your other posts about iPhones.
