Congressman Joe Wilson

CONGRESSMAN WORKING TO FIND ALTERNATIVE OPTION THAT WILL ACTUALLY STIMULATE ECONOMY

As the United States House of Representatives prepare to once again take on President Obama’s massive $838 billion spending package after it passed the Senate last night, leading Republican members of Congress are desperately working to find alternatives.

One of those leaders, South Carolina’s Joe Wilson, has been very vocal in support of solutions to the massive spending bill that would stimulate the economy and create jobs, rather than just piling on more debt. But Democrats so far have been reluctant to budge an inch, with Obama saying that it’s his plan or nothing.

Today on the House floor Wilson noted his frustration that “our friends on the other side of the aisle continue to frame this stimulus debate as between doing what they want or doing nothing at all. This is simply not the case.”

In fact, Wilson said, “House Republicans have worked to develop proposals that promote job creation” since the very beginning of the economic crisis.

“Our solutions provide immediate relief to American families, small businesses, real estate recovery, and homeowners. Our solutions aim at creating jobs,” Wilson said. “We can create twice the number of jobs at half the spending.”

Liz, how is every Congressman in the state your Congressman; just wondering? It sound that from every post you’ve ever posted that you’d like to live off of the government, your post have nothing to do with any of the articles; back to Wilson, what conservative dosen’t want less wastful spending, and what American doesn’t want more jobs?

Actually so far it seems to me Republicans want reduced spending because they are not getting credit for it, and hope we lose more jobs so they can blame that on Obama.
