RNC CHAIR HOPEFUL INKS ENDORSEMENTS FROM TWO MORE DELEGATES

Just prior to Christmas, South Carolina GOP Chair Katon Dawson landed a big endorsement from New Mexico chairman Allen E. Weh in his bid to lead the Republican National Committee. And while the rest of us were enjoying the holidays, he added a few more.

Alabama Republican Party Chairman Mike Hubbard and North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Linda Daves both said they would vote for Dawson when the RNC members vote on Jan. 29.

By my count, that’s nearly a dozen confirmed votes for Dawson from all over the country. And with a crowded field of candidates squabbling over only 168 votes, every one of those endorsements is vital.

With these endorsements, Dawson now has a majority of the delegates from three states — the threshold for getting on the RNC chair ballot. At least two of the three voting members of the RNC from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Iowa have announced their support of Dawson.

Rivals Ken Blackwell and Saul Anuzis have also put together a strong list of supporters.

Actually Whoa, it’s more like you are the dumbass for thinking that sitting at a computer writing about your big ideas is in any way going to effect, much less “dismantle”, somebody’s career.

I can’t wait for your forthcoming details. I’ll be looking for them in the Washington Post and NY Times.

    Adam,

What are your thoughts on Katon being the only candidate to refuse to endorse the “Rebuild the Party” plan put forth by many young GOP technological politicos? At the debate today he said one of his reasons for not supporting it was because one tenant of the plan is for the RNC to try to have 40% of its candidates for open and contested seats to be under the age of 40. Katon’s refusal to sign on to this plan should disqualify him from anyone’s mind who wants the Party to move into the 21st century when it comes to technology and attracting young people.

Yes, I thought the chair candidate debate was quite valuable. After hearing them speak, personally I like blackwell and anuzis best.

I found the “how can we work with the ron paul supporters?” question most interesting, though of course I have a personal bias on that subject. Everyone managed to be quite polite in their response (though it is much easier to be polite once the election is over); even dawson. You could learn something from them Adam.

Though if anyone wants a hint on the correct answer to that response, the keyword is “decentralization.”
