JIBJAB’S NEW ‘ELF YOURSELF’ PROGRAM NOT FUNNY, COOL

Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and family, drink lots of alcohol, and enjoy all the stuff you’re supposed to enjoy at Christmas time. And I’m all about that.

But something that I’m not about is this annoying “Elf Yourself” thing that has been created by JibJab.

I’m sorry, but taking three minutes to crop five photos of you and your friends onto dancing elf bodies is just not cool. Unless all five photos are of me — as I’ve done for you above — which is actually kind of cool.

As you can see, though, all but one of the five of me is pretty pissed about having to be in that video. That right there should be enough evidence that “Elfing” people is wrong.

And I know because I’ve seen this damn thing at three Christmas parties already. Now, it’s spreading like the plague to numerous websites in South Carolina.

I’m here to say, “ENOUGH.”

“Elfing” yourself and others does not spread Christmas cheer. In fact, all it does is annoy people. And I think that’s the exact opposite of Christmas cheer.

Also, it’s counterproductive to other Christmas activities like drinking eggnog and talking about/like pirates.

Ergo, if you are spreading this around, you are ruining Christmas. You might as well start going up to five-year-olds with a megaphone screaming “there is no Santa.”

And that’s just pure evil. Honestly, I don’t know how you can even live with yourself.
