RNC CHAIR CANDIDATE CALLS ON PRESIDENT ELECT TO RELEASE RECORDS ON SENATE CORRUPTION SCANDAL

One of the reasons that I’m a big supporter of South Carolina GOP Chair Katon Dawson is that the guy is a hard worker. He gets things done and he doesn’t waste time.

So when Illinois Gov. Rod (hold on while I copy and paste this next bit) Blagojevich was busted by the FBI on charges that he tried to sell Barack Obama’s U.S. Senate seat, Dawson was one of the first to demand accountability.

The RNC Chair candidate called on the president-elect to uphold his pledge of expanded transparency and release any records of discussions between the Obama-Biden transition office and Blagojevich regarding the appointment of Obama’s successor to the Senate.

“Obama’s presidential transition team has said the American people should have a ‘seat at the table’ and pledged to expand transparency in decision-making,” said Dawson. “If he is serious, he should immediately release all records of discussions about the appointment of Obama’s successor that he and his transition team may have had with Blagojevich or his office. The American people expect and deserve nothing less.”

Dawson continued, “When politicians like Blagojevich exploit the power of elected office for personal gain, they demonstrate a disregard for standards of integrity and ethical conduct. His actions are breathtaking in their callousness and arrogance.””

He’s absolutely right. What Blagojevich is accused of doing is almost unprecedented in American history. Even the federal authorities who investigated him for three months were astounded.

And the fact that the next president is, in all likelihood, somehow involved in the mess means that others should join Dawson in demanding transparency.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Blagojevich is accused of corruption that includes putting a “for sale sign on the naming of a United States senator.” In the criminal complaint, federal authorities said Blagojevich sought to “leverage” Obama’s transition team as he considered who to appoint to the Senate.

Katon needs to stop grandstanding, and start worrying about how to get GOP’s to start voting conservative.

Mr. Dawson may want to consider the position that some elected people are in , in this state, with regard to transparacy and truth and honesty before he starts squeeling to hold people accountable. You see, twenty years of Social Security money is missing in South Carolina, and I’ve got evidence of three accounts, surrendered and or terminated, but left paying somewhere every single month… again for twenty years. If I really went looking, I wonder how many thousands I could find????

Everyone else in the state that knows my story wonders why our elected people have allowed all investigations to be stopped. People wonder why I’ve been threatened . People tell me they understand the elected people in this state have taken away MY right to law enforcement, which is quite dangerous, not to mention insulting.

So when we really start talking accountability, South Carolina’s elected people have some accounting to do……..
    It *IS** coming~~~~~~

…The next president is somehow involved….

That’s laughable and desperate. How’d that character assasination campaign strategy work out for y’all, Katon?

Katon still trying to scrub off the stench of Forest Lake by putting up a smokescreen?

The economy is in the crapper, people are losing their jobs AND their retirement and this is the BEST reason Katon Dawson could find to call a press conference ???? GIVE ME A BREAK.

I can tell you that the Dems AND Repubs have some crooks in office. The argument: “They the biggest crooks”…. “No, they are the biggest crooks! “No you are…. ” is getting us nowhere. Lets call this one a draw and move on to issues that matter to Americans.

When jackleg Katon figures out how to fix this economy and the Federal Government that has LOST ITS WAY!, then call me for the press conference.

Until then, get over this crap!

    Fred

This Pip-squeak ‘demands’? What a laugh! What a joke! Republicans are dying. Soon, it will be the Democrats and Socialists as major parties. Welcome to the future you backward idiots! Why don’t you all build more mega churches, that’ll help.

Interesting that he’s calling for Obama accountability and hasn’t done so with the GOP caucus in Columbia SC. The GOP speaker and his cronys refuse even to pass a “recorded voting bill” and do practically everything in secret. Katon, with all due respect, you need to clean your own house before asking to go to Washington. LOL
