GAMECOCKS ROUTED ON ROAD BY GATORS 56-6
The South Carolina Gamecocks went into “The Swamp” in Gainesville, Fla., Saturday 21-point underdogs to the 4th-ranked Gators.
Despite those unusually high expectations, Florida was able to cover the point spread… in the first quarter. That included three touchdowns in a 2:15 span. And it just got worse from there.
The Gators put up another five touchdowns to beat the Gamecocks 56-6 in head coach Steve Spurrier’s worst ever defeat. By far.
His next closest loss was in 1990 when the Head Ball Coach, then in Florida, was thumped by 42 points against Tennessee. That’s eight points less than today’s 50-point embarrassment.
For the Gamecocks, this was the worst loss since 1995 when, ironically, Spurrier led the Gators to a 63-7 victory in Columbia. The Gamecocks fall to 7-4 (4-4 SEC) on the season and play their last regular season game in two weeks at Clemson.

That’ll teach that Confederate flag bashing carpetbagger. Do yourself a favor Spurrier and leave town.
With Bowden gone, can Spurrier be far behind?
Geez. So Massah Huffman done drug up dat ‘Federate Flag Issue agin.
The flag should have come down a year after it went up. Hanging on to “yesteryear” not only makes you a punchline to your acquaintances at social events, it makes you an idiot. We’d all be better off if YOU left town.
Thanks for playing, racist.
