Metro FM presenter Khutso Theledi has bagged her first award ever after 11 years in the radio industry.
Truly, everyone’s time is different. Khutso Theledi has been in the radio industry for over a decade and has not received a single award for her work. The Metro FM presenter was honored at the Basadi in Music Awards, which was held on Saturday, 12 August 2023.
The event happened at the illustrious Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg. Khutso walked away with the Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year award. Taking the stage, she said,
“We are just five months in with the Break Away show, and I just won my very first award, not only with them but in my career as well,”
She thanked fans and listeners of her show. “Thank you so much to my Breakers; they know who they are and to my Break Away team. To Basadi Awards, thank you for such a wonderful platform.”
She also urged her fans to never give up and reach out to her if they need someone to talk to. “If you need help, slide into my DMs, leave a text, and I’ll be there to help.”
