LIBERAL’S TAX PLAN HAS DOLPHINS OWNER HURRYING SALE OF TEAM
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his awesome tennis shoes were in Pennsylvania today courting the state’s 21 electoral votes as polls there tightened up.
Down in Florida though, Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga was just trying to keep his pair of “Air Obama’s” (now with more hot air) on his feet. Huizenga spent the day trying to rush the sale of the Dolphins over fears of a massive increase in capital gains taxes under an Obama administration.
“If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes,” Huizenga told FOX News Channel.
Of course, Obama isn’t president and if the next week trends the way the last few days have, there’s a possibility he won’t be come January. Of course, once again, that depends on you.

It’s going to be interesting watching you shriek for the minority party starting next 4th.
And by interesting, I mean everyone is going to get tired of your whining real quick.
I would suspect it to be a lasting arrangment, but my gut says terrible democratic policies are just going to hand it all back in four, six, or eight years.
Mmmmm glorious democracy, where we are free to flip back and forth arbitrarily between two absurdly bad styles of government.
I do financial and business planning for a living. I stopped listening to Republicans on taxes because they either omit material fact so as to make their points misleading or lie, or are just hypocritical.
“We’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.”
– Gov. Sarah Palin, 2008
There’s one big difference between me and the others — I won’t take every last dime of the surplus and spend it on tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthy. I’ll use the bulk of the surplus to secure Social Security far into the future to keep our promise to the greatest generation.”
–McCain campaign commercial, January 2000.
Sixty percent of the benefits from his tax cuts go to the wealthiest 10% of Americans — and that’s not the kind of tax relief that Americans need. … Gov. Bush wants to spend the entire surplus on tax cuts. I don’t believe the wealthiest 10% of Americans should get 60% of the tax breaks. I think the lowest 10% should get the breaks. …
“I’m not giving tax cuts for the rich.”
–John McCain, Jan. 5, 2000.
I am not too worried about Obama. I changed my investments, back in the summer, to account for an Obama win. I am ready for high taxes and no capital gains. I am ready for slow growth. I am ready for home ownership to go down and rents to go up.
In fact, as I did in the late 70’s and early 80’s….I made tons of money based on managing these same types of ideas that the Dem will bring in with them.
So , you smart guys with a little money. Don’t moan about money…just prepare to make more. The poor and middle class will suffer, but then again they are the ones that are voting for this crap, so I am not worried about them. It is their choice…
I kinda like seeing the rich people scared.
Wayne Huizenga is a hypocritical piece of shit. He has taken 100’s of millons in taxpayer money to fund his sports businesses then turns around and says FU to the taxpayers. The Marlins were receiving more in revenue sharing then they spent in salary for players. Sounds like welfare to me. In the words of Eric Cartman “You g oto hell, you go to hell and you die.”
