COLUMBIA ‘JOURNALIST’ WES WOLFE BEHIND TPS NO. 1 MOST WANTED

A weekend’s worth of polling and months of speculation about the identity of The Palmetto Scoop’s Most Wanted anonymous blogger, John Vierdsen, has come to end.

Information obtained by TPS reveals that “objective” Columbia “journalist” Wes Wolfe, formerly of the Free-Times and City Paper, is the man behind the vitriolic “Vierdsonian Democracy.” That blog is responsible for such nasty, possibly libelous rumors as the false claim that yours truly got drunk and assaulted someone and the unproven accusation that the SCGOP is engaging in “caging activities,” among many, many other things.

According to header details from an email sent by “johnvierdsen@gmail.com” — the account listed on the anonymous blogger’s website — the message was forwarded to and replied from the account “wswolfe@gmail.com.” Wolfe himself admits at the 9:20 mark in the video above to using that account as his personal email.

Need more proof? Wolfe grew up near Birmingham, Ala. and briefly attended the University of Alabama. On his Website, Vierdsen writes almost daily on Alabama football.

If this all sounds familiar, it’s because Wolfe has done this before. In March he was outed as one-half of the duo behind the anonymous “Sunny Places Shady People” blog, which shut down after his identity was revealed in connection with a defamatory comment left on FITSNews about Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer.

I figured it was only a matter of time before Wolfe re-emerged to spew hate, and I was right.

The difference this time is that his new writings appear to have been — at least in some small part — spurred on by the folks at the First Tuesday Strategies consulting firm. Wolfe has written nasty things about their enemies while boosting their friends.

After all, it’s no coincidence that Wolfe is close friends with the folks at First Tuesday, ergo, the above video filmed at the firm’s offices. It’s also no coincidence that Wolfe has written a number of the exact same rumors that the firm’s partner Terry Sullivan has reportedly been pushing behind the scenes.

So what now for Vierdsen, err, Wolfe? Well, that’s for him to decide. But if you feel you have been wronged by his formerly-anonymous garbage, by all means, please send an email to wswolfe@gmail.com and let him know what you think.

Adam – why is this important?

  2. 2.

Earl – Since graduating college, Wolfe has run around writing for otherwise credible news organizations as an “unbiased journalist.” Now he has been busted TWICE writing anonymous trash about the people he’s been “covering.” It’s important that if/when this guy re-emerges as an “unbiased journalist,” we know what he has said in the past.

Plus, he wrote nasty stuff about me which is cause enough in my book to expose his ass.

    Adam,
Is this guy a gay activist? He really seems to focus in your exposing the “so gay” thing. Maybe he’s just mad at you because he’s gay…not that there is anything wrong with that.

Vierdsen is a confidant of Terry Sullivan and Wes Donehue.

This is newsworthy. He does their dirty work. He can continue to do their dirty work, but he just can’t do it under the pretense of objectivity or the comfort of anonymity.

Wow. The George-Anne vs. The Daily Gamecock.

No wonder this state is in such pitiful condition.

Thanks for the article Adam. Wes’s personal attacks on you in the other comments were uncalled for and will come back to him at some point.

It’s pretty cool how you have so many haters.

And Earl you have always had a great sense of humor about stuff. What happened man? The top 5 most wanted list was interesting and fun. Everyone is tired of the same old election articles so this was a relief from that and little fun investigative game at the same time.

Snead – The George-Anne may have been a hyper-partisan leftist rag like most college newspapers, but at least the liberal editors had some respect for their conservative colleagues.

Any news on the McCain worker in Maryland? I haven’t read any coverage here of her terrible ordeal at the hands of Obama.

What a greasy slimy loon. Look at his greasy hair and disgusting clammy skin. He creeps me the hell out no wonder he wanted to remain in hiding.
Its also funny he called you fat Adam. Don’t think Wes the Plumper has any room to talk.

The rich irony is that Vierdsen is talking crap again about Rick Quinn’s taxes, but Vierdsen ain’t got no job. He ain’t got no income.

Vierdsen, shut up until you are bringing in some taxable income, you greasy face troll. Take a shower and then go back into your hole.

Scene, it’s not a big deal. I just don’t sweat it over bloggers who don’t put their name next to their work. Typically they don’t have the same credibility as those of us who do. If Vierdson wants to be whoever, then it’s not going to kill me.

Besides, there are public figures who are far more entertaining to pick on that people actually know.

If you think I can’t take a joke, go to YouTube and watch the videos from my Master’s graduation party, where I was roasted for about half an hour. Now inviting people to tear you apart, and having some of them take you up on the offer, now THAT is funny.
