OBAMA STAFFER’S FACEBOOK FORUM FOR ANTI-MCCAIN DEMAGOGUERY

While perusing Facebook status updates, I noticed commentary on the profile of a friend, former South Carolina blog great, and current Obama staffer, Laurin Manning.

I have the utmost respect for Laurin, her work, and simply disagree with her politics, but being able to agree to disagree is a tenant of our democracy.

With that being said, I found myself stunned at the classless commentary of some of her liberal cohorts.

While Laurin’s question requesting the RNC explicate John McCain’s executive experience was within reason, though not exactly the card I would play if my candidate’s “executive experience” was being a “community organizer” and his ties to ACORN.

Laurin’s question prompted a fellow conservative to respond, “Leading a flight wing into combat…I think that counts but it is not from the RNC.”

And that made the neo-Hippies pounce.

One retorted, “How about any successful executive experience,” and a second chided, “He’s five times more experienced than Obama when it comes to crashing airplanes.”

First, if my guy was wanting to be Commander in Chief and thinks shooting hoops with a couple troops for a photo op counts as leadership, I wouldn’t make fun of the other guy’s record of being a war hero and sacrificing life, liberty, and his pursuit of happiness for his country.

Second, their commentary reminds me of Patrick Henry’s 1775 oration in which he stated, “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

The Obama supporters’ classless commentary making light of Senator McCain’s service, patriotism and lifelong mission to put his country first provides the clear contrast among our generation.

Personally, every time, I see someone in uniform, I thank them for what they’re doing so we can live here in the land of the free.

Secondly, I ask myself – by answering the call of Teddy Roosevelt and making my voice heard in the arena, while seeking challenges and striving to make a difference in the world of politics, am I really exacerbating the “gentleman’s wish” of Patrick Henry.

I don’t think so because I am eternally grateful for the sacrifice of others who enable us to live our lives and wake up each Morning in America.

However, with that being said, those of us here in the land of the free must do what we can in the next 19 days to keep it that way.

We must examine a doomsday scenario and ask what will happen if our Republic falls by the wayside, slouches further towards Gammorah, and down the slippery slope of socialism towards becoming the United Socialist States of America. While that is far fetched, it is plausible if the Obama liberals get their pipe dream, sell out the free markets, barter incentive and opportunity for the dole of government hand outs, and bring forth things like socialized health care, it’s plausible.

If that’s plausible in its Ron Paul conspiracy theorist sort of way, then if the Cold War ideology was still around, would the USA have become that bear in the woods…

That’s why I’m a Proud Member of the Right Wing Conspiracy and even prouder to be an American and the fact that I’ll cast my vote for John McCain and hope every freedom loving man, woman, and child (over 18) does the same exact thing.

    Lauin has always been the mayor of Bitchopolis. She was way overrated as a blogger (no decent competition at the time) .

    But at least she is not around here much anymore…so let’s let that fat cow donkey ass soon to be old maid stay away, and quiet. Don’t activate her “eat now bitch now button”…that would sux for the planet.

    So what are you saying, if someone served in the military, everything they did in the military, no matter how incompetent or careless, is OK? Some of those incidents aren’t McCain’s fault, but his first crash was due to his own negligence. In a second incident, which didn’t result in the loss of the airplane, he flew too low over Spain and severed a power line. How does McCain’s negligent crashing of an aircraft represent sacrifice? How does his slicing of a powerline due to recklessness make him a war hero?

    You can talk about “socialism” and the “loss of initiative” all you want, but what would happen if South Carolinians received only the federal services their taxes paid for, rather than the $1.40 in handouts they get for every $1.00 they “pay” in federal taxes? I tell you what, you can start complaining about other people’s lack of initiative when you stop taking out so much more than you put in.

    Are you trying to summon me? You know I’d stop by with my two cents regardless.

    There are several points to be made, but I’ve just returned from 5-points and am probably not at my prime arguing ability.

    1. You took this from facebook. You might as well be complaining that someone removed you from their myspace top friends list.

    2. All politicans, candidates, and empty headed pundits should be mocked and humiliated. If you pause to respect them, they’ll only return the favor by taking advantage of you.

    3. The Patrick Henry quote is completely misplaced in this context. There hasn’t been a foreign army or tyrant on American soil in 196 years. The only group close to readying our chains is our own federal government takin’ your guns and tappin’ your phones. Just wait till a democratic administration gets it’s grubby mits on Bush’s surveillance powers and then you’ll all be sorry.

    4. We’re already in the Socialist states of America. The bailout and the bank nationalization are proof, and you sat there and let it happen. From the pen of Marx himself, national control of capital markets is the endgame for the free market. Goodnight sweet prince, 1776-2008. The only question from this point is if we want our socialism to be facist flavored or if we want facism with socialist flavoring.

    5. You should explain what you think freedom is. Try and surprise me with a better rational than “freedom the best thing and also is what my political team says it is, and is the opposite of everything about that other political team”

    Thanks Bill for #4 comment. Bush has made America socialist. He never was labeled a socialist, but Obama is. Obama may or may not be a socialist but we all know our ” dear leader” republican George W Bush is a socialist.
    All Republicans should can the socialist tag on Obama and put it on George W Bush.
    Did all these SC Republicans really vote for and support Socialist George Bush then complain Obama is a socialist???????? Did they really????????
    Critical thinking skills are a thing of the past ey?

    Bill A.–you are right on, sir!

    We’re in a one-party fascists/socialist country where the elections in the fall only serve as some sort of perverted run-off.

    The counter-revolutionaries are in charge and ignore the U.S. Constitution. What we need is an American Revolutionary Party that will keep fighting for the real revolution every day. The Constitution Party is pretty much there and will get my support until something better comes along.

    The only way I’d vote for the McCain/Palin ticket is if McCain weren’t on it.
