READERS WANT TO KNOW ABOUT TRUTH BEHIND ADMINISTRATIVE SHUFFLING

I’ve been getting a lot of comments through the Tip Line lately about the game of musical chairs taking place among the higher-ups at South Carolina Educational Television, a taxpayer-funded public access broadcasting company.

First, it appears that senior vice president Tom Fowler disappeared without a trace. There was no formal announcement that the thirty year employee would be leaving, not even a hidden press release. He was just erased from the website and hasn’t been heard from since.

Fowler’s reported replacement, Kerry Feduk, also brings questions of her own. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is the least experienced vice president at the station. And her non-existent biography does nothing to help her cause.

Since Feduk will make almost $100,000, one tipster pointed out, taxpayers would like to know about her real qualifications.

All of this, of course, preceded the very sudden departure of former President and Chief Executive Officer Moss Bresnahan for Seattle.

As one reader noted, “something is going on behind the scenes,” and I don’t think ETV wants the cameras running while it’s happening.

While I’m not so quick to jump on the pessimistic express, I speak for many who would like a little more openness from ETV about these folks who earn six figure salaries courtesy of South Carolina taxpayers. If you know anything, leave a comment below or send a tip.

Like most state agencies…it needs a shake up.

If only the public knew what goes on at most of these places. Let the shake up continue!

So, one guy retired, one was promoted, and one is moving on. I’m with you and not jumping to any pessimistic conclusions.

“My ETV” will be the debate tonight…I’m looking forward to seeing Lindsay in action, and this will be my first real look at Conley.
