SC HOUSE CANDIDATE ARRESTED IN 2006 FOR DISTURBING SCHOOL

Noting that “some of the words chosen could have been better,” football legend state House District 124 candidate Jim Brown held a press conference Thursday to discuss his 2006 arrest on charges that he disturbed a school following an argument with administrators at the Lady’s Island Elementary School.

Brown is challenging Republican Shannon Erickson for the seat in next month’s election.

Brown, a criminal defense lawyer in private practice, said the arrest followed a “heated discussion” with school administrators about his family. He had three children enrolled at the school at the time, and his wife had been a part-time Spanish teacher there from fall 2000 to spring 2004. [...]

Brown called then-assistant principal Lynn Patterson a crude name as he signed the visitor’s log in the school office, according to the school employees’ written statements included in a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

On his way out of the school a few minutes later, Brown told Patterson not to look at him and never to speak to his wife, according to employee statements.

Then-school principal Terry Bennett was on the phone with police as Brown departed, the report states. A judge signed a warrant Jan. 16, 2007, for Brown’s arrest with the charge of disturbing schools. The charge carries a fine of up to $1,000 and 90 days in jail. On Jan. 25, Brown was arrested, barred from school grounds and released. [Beaufort Gazette]

First, let me say that it’s refreshing to see a Democrat with some cajones. Most of them just cower and whimper behind special interests and the leftist agenda of the communists that have hijacked their party.

And, if you ask me, these administrators were asking for it. Apparently, this was all motivated by getting back at Brown’s wife Shannon for filing a sexual harassment suit against the Beaufort County School District.

Isn’t it obvious what happened here folks? They made him go in there and say those words just so they could get him arrested.

The problem is, they knew full well he didn’t pose a physical threat. The guy is puny. Plus, look at this picture of him with his grandmother Thelma. Talk about harmless… it’s a picture with Grandma Thelma!

Everyone in town knows that Shannon Erickson runs gutter campaigns. She knows nothing but nasty negative politics and is the queen of dishing dirt on other people.
