The Congressional Black Caucus did NOT support the bill. Tell me again that Clyburn didn't fail.

Clyburn is an intelligent and honorable man. It's sad to see people slander members of their own congressional delegation for no reason. He clearly isn't an idiot, so cut the rhetoric.

This wasn't a failure for Clyburn--it's difficult to get your party to support a bill created by a Republican president.

He produced that many votes because that's what Democratic leadership was lead to believe would be the number needed
when supplemented by House Republicans. This number was produced by Republican leadership, who didn't count on half of their party dropping out at the last minute.
