DURHAM BULLS’ PEREZ PULLS UNBELIEVABLE MOVE

We don’t really have any good professional baseball teams in South Carolina. I guess the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are alright for a Class A ball club. But the Columbia Blowfish blow, and the Greenville Drive and Charleston RiverDogs are at the bottom of the South Atlantic League.

For good baseball you have to go to the other Carolina (the North one) and the International League Durham Bulls. Those guys are possibly the greatest baseball team of all time.

Actually, I don’t know if they’re the greatest team of all time, but based on the above clip of Bulls center fielder Fernando Perez pulling off one of the greatest home plate jukes I’ve ever seen, they have to be amazing.

While trying to steal home on a wild pitch, Perez literally jumped over the catcher, dodged being tagged out, completely missed home plate, stopped, turned around, paused for a second, avoided another tag, then leaped and touched home plate to score a run. Brilliant!
