When staff complain about the problems, we are called elitist and problem makers, rather than problem solvers, and I have a letter from here which states such and goes so fat as to say, if I don't like how something is done, to come to Columbia and re-write policy. (Which was ment to say in our opinion, SHUT UP) For a State Employee who works at the Dept. of Corrections, I am often angered by how he runs this agency. I mean, their job is to protect civil liberties, free speech, and (non-government sponsored) religious expression. Although you can say their positions are left-leaning, they're brutally consistent: they've defended Rush Limbaugh, the "God Hates Fags" church, desegregating schools, evolution, and a large number of other issues. The ACLU is pushing for an independent audit of the system- isn't that exactly the same thing you're pushing for? I’m so confused about why some people are rabidly anti-ACLU.
