Bob Conley is unoriginal

I don’t think I’ve ever written about Bob Conley because the guy bores me in every way possible. And if I had written about him, I would have forgotten by now, anyway.
From his knock-off flat-top crewcut and oversized 80s eyeglasses that cover half his face to his “Southern Avenger” interview, it’s a struggle not to doze off the second someone says his name. In fact, I’ve fallen asleep three times already and this is only the fourth sentence.
Part of what makes this guy incredibly boring is that he’s unbelievably unoriginal. Like his tough economic plan: “Bob Conley believes we must change our monetary policy, restore sound, honest money, and halt the fall of the dollar.”
Wow, Bob, that sure is dandy. I wonder if he thought that up all on his own or if same magical fairies that will be sprinkling that special economy-fixing pixie dust all over Wall Street helped him out.
So keeping with his campaign theme of I’m boring, unoriginal and people talk over my speeches, Conley said Monday he will debate a cardboard cutout of Sen. Lindsey Graham if he won’t agree to a public forum.
That would actually be pretty funny if Ken Wingate hadn’t done the exact same thing in 2002 while running for governor.
But honestly, I can’t imagine why Graham won’t just agree to debate him. I mean, he’s only a powerful U.S. Senator whose close friend is running for President of the United States. And I’m sure Conley’s not a bad guy once you get past all the tinfoil.
While he’s at it, of the audience too, cutouts he can make. Listen better they will than a live audience. But all the seats, he will not fill. Not enough campaign contributions does he have.
A primary fight did this guy win?

Bob Conley would be joke. The guy supported Ron Paul, now he’s running as a Democrat. How much LSD do you have to drop to make that kind of intellectual leap?

We all already know dude is running against Graham and Graham is your boy so there’s no need to throw the literary equivalent of a special olympics circus parade trumpeting that fact.
The one paragraph you wrote that actually contained information:

What that paragraph says on his website when you don’t remove the first and last sentence:
“Economy: We must implement fiscal policies to end deficit spending. Bob Conley believes we must change our monetary policy, restore sound, honest money, and halt the fall of the dollar. We must stop predatory lending practices, end the Wall Street bailouts, and put a lid on massive expenditures abroad.”
But he’s for the FairTax, which I don’t think goes far enough. Oh well, the other stuff is nice, but as i’ve said before, I’d vote for a truck full of lemurs before I’d ever vote for Graham. That dude will be even more worthless when his erastes McCain loses come november.
In our two party system, and a debate is a fair and honorable way to let the voters view their options. Graham may not want to debate, but he should…it is the honorable thing to do.
But Graham’s decision is par for the course. Republicans have lost their honor a long the way.
I am a republican. I used to be proud of it. Now I just suffer through.
I believe Conely doesn’t need to have a big campaign against moneybags Graham. He is the anti Graham candidate and everyone knows it.
Sure is odd how most all the people I know and hear do not like Graham and are still upset about being called biggots. These people just say ” I’ll vote for whoever is running against Graham”. I hope their turn out is tremendous.
We need representation in the Senate and we do not have any.

Your boss is a schmuck. If he had any gumption at all and any respect for the voters that put him in office the first time, he would be more than willing to debate Conley — but he won’t. He is afraid to go up against a TRUE conservative. Graham will keep on running around doing McCain’s errands and continue to ignore the voters here in SC. Typical of Miss Lindsey.
I thought conservatives were *supposed* to be unoriginal. And, technically, we’re supposed to be “boring”, too, since the objective of conservatism is for government not to do anything.
Bob Conley IS unoriginal! He wants to do just what the Constitution says that Congress can do.

Bob Conley is for the U.S. Constitution which would mean no more undeclared wars, protecting our industrial base, and protecting our rights under the U.S. Constitution.
Lindsey Graham would rather turn us into a police state than to simply secure our borders and ports and truly protect us against terrorist attacks.
Bob Conley wants to protect Americans from illegal competition that has resulted from Lindsey Graham’s open borders votes and his push for unconstitutional, ex-post-facto amnesty for law breakers rather than “an uniform rule of naturalization” that EVERYONE should follow.
Bob Conley is all about power to the people rather than Lindsey’s selling out to the multi-national corporations who don’t care about America and its citizens and its borders.
Bob Conley is a principled man who isn’t going to vote for self-glorification while he’s in the Senate. Bob Conley will take US to Washington with him and come back home between sessions to find out what folks HERE IN SOUTH CAROLINA think and want done.
I know its a little after the fact, but I just read this, and it took me like forty minutes, because I fell asleep so many times. I’m not just trying to say that you are a bad writer, just that you bore the hell out of me. Which is, I guess, the point you are trying to make about Bob Conley. You can’t find any real position to grill him on, so you just make out like the lack of excitability and mild unoriginality are major flaws in a candidate for political office. This attack is basically pathetic, like your writing.
