REAL WORLD 22 CASTING CALLS COMING TO SC

When I was younger, I thought it would be the greatest thing ever to be on MTV’s The Real World. That is until I realized that the life of a former-reality TV star looks unbearably depressing.

It’s that whole “my best days are behind me thing.” Kind of like Rob Deboer spending the last decade-plus running around talking about the glory days of the early 1990s.

Anyway, part of me still wants to be on the show because a few months of non-stop partying with three to fours hot female roommates while completely ignoring reality would be pretty awesome. And I guess now is my chance.

Apparently, producers couldn’t get enough of Columbia’s Kimberly Alexander — who was on the The Real World Hollywood — because MTV announced they will be holding open casting calls for the show’s 22nd season in about three dozen places including the Capital City. The date and location are to be determined.

Of course, you can always send the stereotypically absurd casting video where you dress like a vampire ballerina and dance around while making inaudible yelps or you just ramble on about nonsense for a few minutes. I would review the tips here first though.

And just to be extra awesome, I went ahead and suggested they film Real World 22 right here in Columbia (Charleston would also be acceptable) in the comments thread of the news release. So far its just us and Tampa. I encourage everyone to join me in this effort because seeing seven strangers followed around five points with MTV cameras would be absolutely priceless.

Plus it would help all of those girls from USC remember what they did last night. So it’s a two-for.

Hey man! The vampire ballerina looks like Amy Winhouse in real life but without the tatoos. Funny.
