THREE REPORTED KILLED, DOZENS INJURED AFTER MISS. WRECK
There are conflicting reports right now, but the Charleston Post and Courier says three South Carolinians were killed near Tunica, Miss. after their casino tour bus overturned this morning en route to the airport.
The bus, carrying 43 including the driver, was one of two traveling from a Harrah’s Casino to the Tunica airport. The second bus continued to the airport, where a charter plane took the passengers on their scheduled flight back to Charleston.
The accident occurred at 10:16 a.m. the intersection of Highway 61 and Casino Strip Boulevard near Tunica, Miss., according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. [...]
Twenty-seven victims were taken to Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, Miss. Hospital spokesperson Dr. Stanley Thompson told the television station that of those people, one was listed in critical condition, was being operated on, and five were expected to stay overnight.
