AG ONLY SOUTH CAROLINIAN TO SERVE AS OFFICER
Republican National Committee Chairman Mike Duncan this afternoon announced the principal officers for the 2008 National Convention and Attorney General Henry McMaster is the only South Carolinian to make the list.
McMaster, who was one of Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s closest Palmetto State supporters, will serve as the Chief Sergeant at Arms for the four day event next month.
“I am truly honored to serve the RNC in this capacity, and I look forward to working with Chairman Duncan to ensure we hold a successful convention, and that we elect McCain the next President of the United States,” McMaster told The Palmetto Scoop.
Others serving as officers include House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina.
The Republican National Convention is September 1-4 in Lake Wobegon, Minn.
what happens in the AG office while McMaster is out playing Republican?
The word on the street is that there will be a 4 kegger at the AG’s office Sept 1-4 while Henry is out of town. Samantha Ronson is going to be DJ and the rumor is that LiLo is going to be there to watch her perform. After that gets busted everybody will make there way to Sharky’s.
