INTERNET, MEDIA ABUZZ WITH RUMORS THAT TPS EDITOR MAY POSE SERIOUS THREAT TO BOTH SIDES IN WHITE HOUSE BID

There are reports beginning to make national headlines that the editor of the Palmetto Scoop, Adam Fogle, is being drafted to run as a third party candidate in the 2008 presidential election. And that news has both Democrats and Republicans running scared.

The “Fogle Phenomenon” has taken seasoned political analysts by surprise and even has supporters tattooing my name on their backs. It’s all pretty flattering, but I’m not sure how this happened.

“It all started as a joke,” said former Maxim model Diana Falzone, who now hosts a popular talk show. “Someone called in and said ‘hey, I’ve got this great friend who could be president,’ and I thought, ‘why not see if we can make it happen?’”

But is that really how Fogle Mania took root? Sadly, no.

What really happened was a TPS reader saw former WIS anchor Angie Goff’s blog where one of her current co-hosts used the fake news site NEWS3Online.com to create her a virtual campaign and decided that I should have one too. Thanks loyal readers, glad you’re so fond of TPS.
