STATE HOUSE CANDIDATE CAUGHT IN ANOTHER LIE, MORE PROOF OF DOCTORED QUOTE
Less than 24 hours after State House candidate Wendy Nanney was caught distributing a forged e-mail, her campaign has been busted for making false claims about her opponent. And new information has been discovered about the doctored e-mail.
In a June 7 press release, Nanney claimed that, “On June 6th, Dr. Stephen Jones, Governor [Mark] Sanford, and Don Weaver, president of the SC Taxpayers Association all issued statements denying they have endorsed [Rep.] Gloria Haskins.”
While Jones did clarify his position, Weaver never refuted his words. On the contrary, he released a statement today affirming that Haskins’ use of his praise in a campaign mail piece was perfectly acceptable.
“I stand by the statement I made praising Representative Gloria Haskins for her record of service to taxpayers,” Weaver said. “I have not disputed the quote attributed to me, nor have I released any kind of statement criticizing her for the way she presented my quote in her campaign. Rep. Haskins does indeed have an outstanding record of service to taxpayers. Our organization was pleased to present her with the ‘Taxpayer Hero’ recognition for her outstanding voting record. I have absolutely no complaint about the manner in which Rep. Haskins conveyed our view of her record in her campaign materials.”
As for the claim that the governor’s office officially refuted Sanford’s kind words about Haskins, The Palmetto Scoop has learned that the Nanney campaign was referring to an “undorsement” made by the governor’s former spokesman Will Folks on his blog FITSNews, not by a member of Sanford’s office.
Further information has also come forward regarding the Nanney camp’s fraudulent attack on Haskins.
On Nanney’s official campaign website, she has posted a pdf of her recent mail piece hitting Haskins on illegal immigration referencing the two doctored sentences. In the rough draft version of the postcard on Nanney’s site — which was never meant to be seen by voters — the line, “need the email from Mike [Green] for sourcing” is inserted after Haskins’ alleged statement.
This information suggests that the doctored statement was prepared in advance of Nanney’s acquisition of the supposed Haskins e-mail, and is indicative of a premeditated set up.

The West Point honor code states “A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”
Perhaps BJU could borrow a page from the West Point handbook.
Well said Biggie…Seems like the whole “false witness” commandment is in short supply in the Nanny campaign. Anyone who looks at the email Haskins has published has to see that Nanny or someone doctored the thing.
I just got an email stating that Dr. Bob Taylor, BJU Dean, and father of Nanney fathered an illegitimate child by a black prostitute. The email said this sounds absurd, but can you prove he did not? I must concede I am a bit concerned, and will definitely vote against all candidates with ties to BJU.
You guys are such liars this proves nothing. It does prove you are bought and paid for by haskins. Oh that is right RQA is doing gloria’s race and you are employed by RQA. Real objective.
So, Liars, I am not on the payroll of anyone, but myself. Hence, my question remains, did Taylor father a child by a black prostitute and was the first Bob Jones really Grand Wizard of the KKK in AL? I think you will see, why we want answers.
I have never laughed so hard in my life! You guys should take this BS on the road!! First of all, what the HELL would you morons know about the West Point Honor Code? I’ve lived it, so I have a unique perspective. If you want to investigate a lack of honor, you need to look no further than your very own Gloria Arias Haskins. Continuous votes to override the Governor’s vetos, voting for liberal judges, AND yes writing a constituent and telling him that she represents the “Hispanic caucus”. First of all, on Friday Arias-Haskins says it doesn’t exist, then when it was produced she says it was doctored - more BS on the part of Haskins. I have seen the email with my own eyes.
Well, I have to go vote for Wendy, Bob, Steve, Buddy, Jeter, and Patrick. I’m also going to drop a gift off for Bob’s new offspring - hahahaha. You guys are too much!!!
I knew you wussies wouldn’t post my last comment. It’s okayto be afraid of a girl. You’re already terrified of Gloria Arias Haskins. Whhaahhhhh!
exArmy,
All comments are approved unless they are vulgar or threatening. Your comment was neither, so it was approved. You just have to give me time to get to it.
Your choice of candidates seems to reflect your completely irrational response. I’m sure supporters like you make Buddy, Wendy and Big Bob Taylor proud!

So is Bob’s offspring the reason, they now allow inter-racial dating at BJU…
FreeTrav,
Is that where they have the ritualistic ceremonies and decide who gets the young ones?
If jumping to conclusions was an Olympic event, you’d be heading to Beijing this Summer. Lots of artistic license in your posting. Why no update on Gloria’s trouncing on your “live” blog of tonights results? I guess that shows how influencial you are…
Well, we can all hope that Gloria gets a nice diplomatic post in the McCain administration to some Spanish speaking county so she can be with “her people.” Adios Gloria, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
D-bag,
“Her people”? At best, you are a racist prick. Maybe YOUR people should stop (in)breeding, and there wouldn’t be any more intolerant bigots such as yourself.
