LT. GUV SENDS LETTER MARKING THE PALMETTO SCOOP’S FIRST ANNIVERSARY
Elected officials and South Carolina politicos alike take note: if you want good press, follow Lt. Gov. André Bauer’s example and kill ‘em with kindness.
If you read my writing often enough, you’ll know that I’m not exactly the best steward of that tactic, but South Carolina’s second in command is. Like last week when Bauer, a guest columnist and loyal reader, took the time to send The Palmetto Scoop a letter of congratulations on the site’s first birthday:

That small act of kindness — the only one from a current officeholder, by the way — meant a lot and I sincerely thank him for it. Now I encourage the rest of you bums to follow his lead.

Glad the taxpayers are picking up the tab for Andre’s politicking. He sent that on government letterhead and postage. He’s the bum.
Remind me to send the taxpayers a check for the 41 cents on Andre’s behalf. Of course there’s probably another five cents or so in printing, etc., so I’ll make it an even two quarters.
Andre is the second highest constitutional officer in the state and he is writing a constituent, taxpayer and citizen of SC …one that happens to be creative and successful.
I think the Lt. Governor is well within his rights to do that. Perhaps one day, Mr. Taxpayer, you will do something worth of note…unless you consider being a hater an accomplishment.
Penelope’s detachment from reality is hurting the American economy.
Andre Bauer is a hard working guy that is actually interested in the people of this state. I appreciate that and wish more elected officials cared more about us.
Happy Birthday, by the way…from a nobody.
Penelope must have alot of alot of extra time on his hands now that Ravenel is going to prison.
