STUDENT ADDS HARMONY TO UPTON’S SWEET, SWEET POETRY

I had just about stopped watching videos that referenced the pride and joy of our state, Miss Teen South Carolina Lauren Caitlin Upton, until I found this video.

Danicah Waldo, a freshman cabaret singer at Pace University, dressed up as the besmirched beauty queen and put her infamous pageant prose to music at what looks to be some kind of orientation or talent show or whatever thing it is that the boring Dungeons & Dragons crowd does when they get to college.

It’s truly a poignant song and absolutely captures the true essence of Upton’s celebrity, but I’m a little annoyed by that girl who’s supposed to be Amy Teegarden’s really horrible accent at the beginning.

I’m not sure if she’s trying to do an over-the-top President Bush impersonation or just has no idea what southerners sound like. Either way, Teegarden doesn’t even had an accent, so what gives?

And to make it worse, the girl quits halfway through it. If you’re going to suck at something, at least stick it out.

In case you would like to sing along, here are the lyrics:

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because
Uhhhhh some people out there in our nation don’t have maps
And uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I believe that our, I, education like such as uhhhh, South Africa, and the Iraq
Everywhere like such as
And I believe that it should, our education here in the US should help the US
Uhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhhh, or
Uhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhhh
Should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries
So we will be able to build up our future, for children.

I was going to edit the video and add the lyrics at the bottom with the little Mickey Mouse head that floats from word to word, but then I realized that I would rather eat lead paint. No really, that stuff is supposedly really delicious… you should try it sometime. I hear Ron Paul and his supporters have been doing it since birth.

Actress and model, Danicah Waldo, has just completed her Freshman year at PACE University in Manhattan as a Musical Theater Major with a near 4.0 GPA. This song was chosen for her by the head of her department to sing at the Freshman Cabaret Night. Miss Upton’s words were set to music by a gentleman named Jason Wetzel some moths ago. The ambitious Miss Waldo has been performing since the age of six, appearing on stage as well as tv, film and commercials. On a side note, she has southern roots, being a desendant of Richard Dobbs Spaight, governor of North Carolina in the late 1700’s and I don’t think she’s ever played a game of Dungeons and Dragons in her life.
