LEXINGTON NATIVE NO LONGER THE DUMBEST BEAUTY PAGEANT CONTESTANT EVER… LIKE SUCH AS

I’m still absolutely convinced that Lauren Caitlin Upton planned every bit of her infamous Miss Teen USA pageant meltdown last August. She cashed in in a little too easily and the quickness with which she made the most out of her 15 minutes was, at the very least, suspicious. Don’t think I’m complaining about that, though — quite the contrary.

Upton has given me tons of fodder to write about and I couldn’t thank her enough for that. In fact, she made it way too easy.

But now she has been one-upped by a contestant in some pageant where they don’t speak English really goodly. In a question that was much easier than the one given to Upton, Janina San Miguel was asked what role her family played in her “campaign for Binibining Pilipinas (that’s either the name of the pageant or some kind of fungal cream).”

As easy as that question should have been, she went on to absolutely butcher it by saying five words, apologizing, explaining it was her first pageant and that she was only 17, and then repeating that cycle another 10 times or so. To make it worse, she mixed in a God-awful cackle that makes Hillary Clinton sound like Mozart. And somehow, she went on to win the competition.

To be fair, I’m not sure English is this girl’s first language. But then again, you could say the same for Miss Teen SC.
