IN THAT REALLY CREEPY KIND OF WAY
It’s not easy to run for Congress when you’re an incumbent, there’s no real opposition and your seat is only slightly less secure than Fort Knox. In that scenario, you need to raise lots and lots of money. And everyone knows, the best way to raise that kind of dough is to make a fool of yourself by boogieing down for cash.
The re-election campaign of South Carolina’s 4th District congressman “invites you to get down with Bob” at 7:30 tonight at Furman University’s Younts Conference Center.
For a mere $100 contribution ($25 for students), you can watch Republican Rep. Bob Inglis entertain you by letting his “two right feet” go with the disco flow. [Charleston Post and Courier]
I went to Inglis’ campaign website, and found the “Get Down With Bob” section, and it was more disturbing than the time I Googled “most disturbing thing ever.” You can watch the promotional video above, but you’re probably going to have nightmares. Check that, you’ll definitely have nightmares.
What I do like about the video is that it gives those of us who can’t make the event tonight because we would rather stick forks in our eyes appreciate our decision to stay home and stick forks in our eyes. You’re welcome to interpret that on a number of different levels. I promise I won’t judge you… much.
Also, I like how they combined one thing that is popular right now, The Office, with one thing that used to be popular, Saturday Night Fever, and one thing that will always be popular, making fun of middle-aged white people dancing. That’s like mixing all the chemicals under your sink — it’s guaranteed to be a knockout.

Looks like Bob Inglis is working hard for voters of the Fourth District. It’s just too bad that incumbency in this state is like academic tenure.
Gag…
Bob oughta take off those ridiculous outdated GOP shoes…… then maybe he could walk and dance straighter.
Why is this incumbant raising money a bad thing and Lindsey Grahmn raising money a good thing? I fail to see any distinction besides the amount of unneeded money raised and that the editor likes one of these people more than the other.
