SC GOVERNMENT ACHIEVES MEDIOCRITY IN PEW SCORECARD
The Pew Center on the States released a scorecard on Monday that rated the effectiveness of state governments on how well they manage their budgets, staffs, infrastructure and information. Based on that sentence, guess where we ranked…
South Carolina earned a “B-,” the national average, with the report citing the governor’s weak authority. Thirteen states earned higher grades, while 19 states scored below the average.
Exactly. Once again we came in dead last in… wait, what the hell? Who put this report together? You’re telling me there are 19 states with worse state governments than ours?
If so, this is great news for us and horrendous news for those states. I mean, if you live in one of those states, your government is worse than this. And this. And this. And this.
But that can’t be possible. Something is wrong with this scorecard.

A weak governorship, when the Governor is MArk Sanford…is a good thing.
