The BolingsI just got word that B.J. Boling, fresh off his long stint as South Carolina Communications Director for John McCain’s successful presidential primary campaign, will be returning to the Lexington-based political consulting firm Starboard Communications to serve as their Vice President. Boling was with McCain from the beginning of his Palmetto State efforts and was one of the few that stuck it out during the campaign’s bleak July downsizing.

“It is great to have B.J. back on board,” said Walter Whetsell, president and owner of Starboard Communications. “He’s earned a reputation for being a hard worker and innovative thinker. His success with the McCain campaign combined with his winning record makes him a great addition to our team.”

But Boling isn’t new to Starboard. Prior to working for McCain, he served as the firm’s project manager where he worked with numerous State House, State Senate, Congressional, and Statewide campaigns in South Carolina and six other states.

“I am very excited to be back at Starboard,” said Boling. “Walter has put together a strong team here, and I am looking forward to working with them.”

Boling grew up in Greenville and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from, sigh, Clemson University, where he met his wife Katie (above left).

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
    God will appreciate it.
