The Associated Press is reporting that former White House hopeful Mitt Romney has settled his grudge with Sen. John McCain and will now endorse the GOP’s likely presidential candidate. I’m guessing somebody has his eye on a nice cabinet post. Secretary of Treasury perhaps? Then we could see that economic prowess on full display.
CNN says the endorsement is expected to happen at a Boston event at 3:30 p.m. today.
I’m wondering if this means McCain would get Romney’s 291 delegates. If so, that would give the Arizona senator a total of 1,116 delegates, just 75 away from clinching the formal nomination.
