Graham thumb's up

The campaign of Sen. Lindsey Graham reported Friday that it raised $3 million last year — $800,517 of that coming in the fourth quarter alone — despite not having a serious opponent. That successful fundraising effort means Graham now has $4.74 million cash-on-hand in case he gets a real challenger.

“Senator Graham is deeply appreciative of the strong showing of financial and political support,” said campaign manager Scott Farmer. “Whether it’s pushing to strengthen our economy by making the Bush tax cuts permanent, working to ensure Victory in the War on Terror, confirming conservative judges to the federal bench, or securing funding to secure our nation’s borders, Lindsey Graham has been a leader. His common-sense conservative record of achievement is respected and appreciated by the voters of South Carolina.”

A November fundraiser featuring President Bush pulled in more than a half-million dollars for the state’s senior U.S. Senator. At that event, Bush said, said, “[Graham’s] tough, he is smart, he bases his votes on conservatives principles. And Senator Graham, I’m proud to call you friend and I believe the people of South Carolina benefit from you leadership as the senator from this important state.”

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint, Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives Bobby Harrell, 1st District Representative Henry Brown, 2nd District Representative Joe Wilson, 3rd District Representative Gresham Barrett, 4th District Representative Bob Inglis and Attorney General Henry McMaster all endorsed Senator Graham’s re-election bid in the 4th Quarter.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Lindsey Graham for Senate Cash-on-Hand as of 12/31/2007: $4,744,796.97

Total Receipts for the Fourth Quarter of 2007: $800,517.40

Total Disbursements for the Fourth Quarter of 2007: $279,629.50

Lindsey Graham for Senate Cash-on-Hand Reported on 9/30/2007: $4,223,909.07

Being able to report these numbers and have overwhelming support from S.C. voters: PRICELESS

Overwhelming support from S.C. voters? Ha ha ha. A bit presumptuous, don’t you think?

A lot of South Carolinians (myself included) would prefer to vote for an inanimate object instead of giving Lindsey Graham a second term in office.

Doesn’t Senator Graham always look goofy in every picture?

Ohhhhh. I’ve figured it out! Where does Graham get money?

His friend Sun Myung Moon. He’s a billionaire, owner of the washington times, claims to be the messiah to unite all religions, and had a *coronation* ceremony for himself in 2004. In a senate office building in washington. And Lindsey Graham was a member of the host committee for the event.

I suppose blasphemy is ok if you’ve got money to donate?

    Google is your friend:
