Usher

I read this morning that R&B singer/actor Usher will be touring college campuses in South Carolina later today to campaign for blah, blah, blah. He’ll be joined by some actress.

The two will take the Stand for Change Tour to campuses across the state and meet up with U.S. Sen. Barack Obama for a final rally at South Carolina State University.

Usher and [the actress] will encourage young voters to participate in South Carolina’s January 26th primary and will talk about why Obama is the one candidate who can deliver change we can believe in. [The State]

Being that I listen to country music and don’t watch crappy movies, I honestly can’t name one thing this guy has ever done. But this sounds like a cool endorsement. Like Keyshawn Johnson, only way better.

My point here is that Republicans need to really step up their celebrity endorsements. Democrats get Oprah, we get some guy who starred in one of the worst shows in television history and sells exercise machines on late-night infomercials. You do the math.
